Safe in Guangzhou

We arrived in Guangzhou Sunday at 12:05pm after 28 hours of travel.  The flights were must easier than I anticipated and Carter traveled better than I ever would have expected. He didn't complain at all!  Our guide Simon picked us up from the airport and took us to the hotel.  Once we got settled in, we met up with another adoptive family and ate dinner at a mexican restaurant called Tekilas.  The walk to the restaurant was interesting.  This is a very busy city and cars do not yield to pedestrians at all!  When you cross the street, you better hurry!  It is very loud and crazy.  We were all exhausted and went to sleep at 8:30 so we woke up around 3:30 am this morning.  It is now about 5am on Monday 11/25 and we are about to go to the breakfast buffet, then we have a group meeting (there are 16 families in our adoption travel group) and we head to the civil affairs office at 2pm to get Emma Kate!!!  It will be midnight on Sunday for my local Alabama folks when we are headed to meet her.  I will post pics as soon as I am able.  Please pray for Emma Kate as her life is about to change forever. She will not understand what is going on and will most likely be terrified.  Leaving in less than 9 hours!!!!
